So sorry lately, but here are some trends

I am really sorry for not blogging much lately, you stumbled upon my site, you were hoping to read something very innovative and exciting about the intersection of digital, media and advertising, and I leave you with an empty taste in your mouth, that’s horrible and I will try to do my best to update my blog more. In fact I have a couple posts that are in the works which I will get to shortly. But there are a lot of very cool companies I have been seeing and some key trends to watch for in the next few months:

- Crowdsourcing – The use of large amounts of people to be the backend of software applications and ultimately services businesses, this space is just really starting to get some traction as a business
-The real time open social web – I will not call it web 2.0, that ridiculous, but its the accessible and available access to open, real time interaction and information. Think real time search with twitter, but real time and open everything
-Metrics, Analytics, and optimization – This area has been interesting for a bit, but it is really infiltrating the ad world by storm. Our business VMM is one example, but we are also using data and analytics from the real time social web to influence our business as well

New models are popping up for everything from the film industry, to media buying to the fashion space. . .its a very interesting time
